About the Internships

The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) has announced a comprehensive internship program spanning various critical fields within their organization. These internships present valuable opportunities for aspiring professionals to gain hands-on experience and contribute to SETA’s operations across different departments.

In the area of Provincial Operations, interns will be immersed in the day-to-day activities involved in supporting regional initiatives and ensuring effective service delivery to stakeholders. This role offers practical experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination within a dynamic sector-focused environment.

Legal Services and Contract Management internships provide a unique chance to work closely with SETA’s legal team, gaining insights into regulatory compliance, contract drafting, and legal research. Interns will be exposed to real-world legal challenges and contribute to the organization’s compliance efforts, thereby enhancing their understanding of legal frameworks within the services sector.

In Strategy and Research, interns will engage in data analysis, market research, and strategic planning processes. This role focuses on identifying industry trends, assessing training needs, and developing strategic initiatives that align with SETA’s objectives. It offers a platform for interns to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, fostering critical thinking and strategic decision-making skills.

Internships in Marketing and Communications provide exposure to crafting communication strategies, content creation, and digital marketing campaigns tailored to promote SETA’s programs and initiatives. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing SETA’s visibility and brand reputation, offering interns the chance to develop their creativity and communication skills in a professional setting.

Across departments such as Office of the CEO, Operations, Finance, Information Communications Technology (ICT), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Knowledge and Records Management, interns will gain comprehensive exposure to core functions critical to SETA’s overall operations. These roles involve supporting administrative tasks, financial management, ICT infrastructure maintenance, talent acquisition and development, as well as knowledge management practices.
