About the SAPS Graduate Recruitment Scheme 2024/2025.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) Graduate Recruitment Scheme for the 2024/2025 period is an initiative aimed at attracting young, talented graduates to join the police force. This scheme offers various types of internships designed to provide practical experience and skills development for unemployed youth.
Internship opportunities within SAPS cover a wide range of fields including law enforcement, forensics, criminology, administration, IT, and more. These internships provide hands-on training and mentorship under experienced professionals within the police service. Participants gain invaluable experience in crime prevention, investigation techniques, community engagement, and administrative processes.
Participating in these internships equips unemployed youth with practical skills, enhances their employability, and provides them with a deeper understanding of the criminal justice system. Generic requirements:
- Citizenship requirement: Must hold South African citizenship.
- Educational qualification: Need to possess a National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4).
- Clean criminal record: No prior criminal convictions or pending cases allowed.
- Employment status: Applicants should be currently unemployed, without any previous employment in the advertised post’s field or participation in a relevant internship program.
- Residency condition: Must be residents of the province where the position is advertised.
- Application limit: Restricted to applying for a maximum of three positions, with a separate application form required for each post reference number.
