Key Performance areas:

  • Ensure accurate data collection through survey questionnaires on Survey Solutions (SS) databases installed on tablet devices.
  • Recruit participants from randomized housing structures in Hillbrow and obtain consent for survey participation.
  • Distribute flyers to raise awareness of the survey within the Hillbrow community and conduct outreach activities.
  • Collect data accurately on COVID-19 knowledge, perceptions, impacts, and prevention behaviors among Hillbrow residents using the online Redcap database.
  • Estimate the number of people previously infected with COVID-19.
  • Register all volunteering participants on the appropriate data collection tools (Redcap/Survey Solutions).
  • Resolve data queries from rejected interviews through Quality Control (QC) procedures.
  • Compile daily reports and analyze recorded information when necessary.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for tasks, showcasing effective self-management.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.

Required minimum education and training:

  • Matric (tertiary qualification preferable).
  • Counsellor certificates (advantageous).

Required minimum work experience:

  • Data Collection.
  • Community engagement.

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:

  • Fluency in more than one African Language.
  • Experience working with data handling and reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team.
