The City of Tshwane Municipality is currently seeking to fill two positions for Administrative Officers to support its operational and administrative functions. These roles are crucial in maintaining smooth and efficient processes within the municipality. The successful candidates will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that are essential for the municipality’s financial and administrative management.
A key duty of the Administrative Officers will be to verify and process creditor payments. This involves ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with municipal regulations. The officers will also need to interact with various departments and vendors to resolve any issues that may arise, thereby facilitating prompt and effective solutions to problems related to payments and other administrative concerns.
Additionally, the Administrative Officers will execute reconciliations to ensure that records between the City of Tshwane and its vendors match accurately. This reconciliation process is critical for maintaining financial integrity and ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and correct. Conducting these reconciliations will help prevent discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations within the municipality.
Effective record-keeping and administrative duties are also a significant part of the role. The Administrative Officers will be responsible for maintaining organized and comprehensive records, which are essential for tracking transactions, audits, and other administrative functions. By performing these tasks diligently, the officers will contribute to the overall efficiency and transparency of the municipality’s operations.
Application Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and/or Accounting
- At least six months of relevant working experience in administrative support services
- Computer literacy
